The 50 State Rescue Challenge: Idaho Edition

At Cause for Paws, we’re on a mission:

Get a pet adopted in every state.

This week’s spotlight falls on the Gem state: Idaho and the Idaho Humane Society

The Idaho Humane Society is the largest and oldest private 501(c)3 animal welfare organization and veterinary charity in the state, relying solely on donations to provide programs and services benefiting animals in Idaho.

Its mission is to advocate for the welfare and responsible care of animals, protect them from neglect and cruelty, and promote humane education, awareness, and compassion.

They envision a humane Idaho where healthy and adoptable animals are no longer euthanized, and both domestic animals and wildlife are treated with compassion and respect.

They also aim to continue growing to meet the demand for sheltering, feeding, providing medical attention, and finding adoptive homes for abandoned and abused animals in the community. Additionally, they strive to educate Idahoans about proper pet care, prevent animal overpopulation, and promote kindness towards animals.
